Over-the-Fire Hot Toddy

A hot drink in hand is essential when you’re spending the winter days by the fireside. Whether you’re relaxing after a long day at work, or kicking it back with friends, this over-the-fire Hot Toddy recipe is a great option to add to your go-to’s. We’re always looking for ways to bring our favorite drinks over the fire and this one hit the nail on the head. Check out the recipe below and give it a try; if you’re cooking with the kids, simply leave out the booze and make a delicious drink that the whole family can enjoy! Cheers!

What You’ll Need

  • 1 ½ parts Whisky
  • ⅓ part Honey
  • 3 parts Water
  • 3 Dried Cloves, per glass
  • 1 Lemon
  • 1 Orange
  • Handful of Cinnamon Sticks

Preparation

  1. Start a fire in your fire pit and add the Outpost Rod, Kettle Hook, and Kettle.
  2. Add the honey, water, cloves, lemon & orange juice, and cinnamon sticks to the kettle. You can also add lemon and orange peels to the kettle for additional flavor and elevated presentation!
  3. Once the drink is heated to your liking, it’s ready to serve! Add the whisky directly to the kettle or let everyone add their desired amount, this drink is delicious with or without!
